Description - Edward Eanes (d.1757) lived in Henrico (later Chesterfield) County, Virginia. "The name Eanes is unique in that every white person in the United States bearing that name whom it has been possible to interview, either originated in Virginia or has family knowledge that their ancestors came from the Old State ... it is significant that in the Bristol Parish Register the name of Edward is spelled Yanes and Yeans.
